A classical realist, I seek beauty in all things & paint to help people see & appreciate that beauty. Trained in Old Master techniques in Florence, Italy, I work primarily in oils, specializing in portrait, figurative & still life paintings. The human spirit & the natural world inspire my art. I view outward appearances–faces, posture, expression, texture, lights, darks, color–as reflections of the inner spirit & strive in my paintings to reflect the essence of the person or object that makes it unique.

Directions:
From the State Capitol in Columbia, take Main St. north for 1.5 blocks to 1332 Main St.; the Arcade Mall is between Lady St. & Washington St., with entry between “Wish” & “Salon Sole” stores. A second entrance is around the corner at 1216 Washington St., between Main St. & Sumter St. (The Washington St. entrance has one small step, about 2 inches high.) Take the elevator or stairs to the balcony level. My studio is in Suite 84 on the balcony level near the Washington St. entrance.
