I work in oils, pastels, and I batik using watercolors. My oils and pastels are realistic and my batiks, while of structures and things found in nature, are more impressionistic. I am currently working on two series of sculptures, "Animals within Nature" (animals are characters in a narrative of ancient mythology, fairy tales or dreams) and "Food as Symbols" (food is more then just to be consumed; it can hold meaning--I research the historical, cultural or emotional connection of food).
