Registration Information

Regular registration begins March 19. Registration is not confirmed until payment is received.

 Early registration will be offered to members of 701 CCA for two weeks beginning March 5 through March 18.

Confirmation

You will receive confirmation of the workshop and your registration.  Workshops may be cancelled due to low enrollment, in which case you will be notified by phone or e-mail at least four business days prior to the start of a workshop.

Cancellations and Refunds

701 CCA reserves the right to cancel a workshop due to low enrollment.  In that case, you will receive a full refund.  If you cancel before May 28, you will receive a full refund.  If you cancel after May 28 but at least five working days prior to the start of a workshop, you will receive a 60 percent refund.  No refunds will be given for cancellations made less than five working days before the start of a workshop.  In addition, there will be no refunds for students failing to attend a workshop for which they have enrolled.  If space is available, your child may switch workshops up to two business days prior to the start of a workshop.

Special Members-Only Rewards

701 CCA members receive a 10% discount on each workshop and two weeks of priority registration in March.  Your membership is also good for discounts on concerts and other special events.  Please see the membership page of this website for more information.

General information

Location, Parking, Drop Off& Pick Up:701 CCA is located on the second floor of 701 Whaley Street, on the corner of Whaley and Wayne Streets, across from the Olympia Mills Apartments and Southside Baptist Church. The parking lot and drop off/pick up location in the parking lot is off Whaley Street. Signs will indicate the entrance to the parking lot.

Drop Off: Parents should drop off children 30 minutes prior to beginning of the workshops. Workshop assistants will have a check-in/check-out form for parents to sign when they drop off/pick up children. Children will then be escorted into the building; rising 6th grade students and up may be directed to the workshop studio on the second floor.

Pick-up: Parents should pick up their children no later than 15 minutes after the workshop ends. Children may be picked up outside in the designated area or parents may come directly to the studio. Parents will be required to show a driver’s license and to sign your children out at pickup. Please refer to the schedule on the website or in the catalogue for workshop times.

What to Bring and Wear:

Food: Students are encouraged to bring snacks each day. A refrigerator is available for students to bring and store small snacks. Please label snack bags and containers with the student’s name.

Clothing: Everyone should wear old, ‘studio’ clothes and or bring a cover up that they do not mind getting dirty while in the workshops. Wear comfortable shoes. Remember – Dress for a mess!!

Miscellaneous items such as video games, iPods, and anything else deemed of value should be left at home. We ask that students not use their cell phones during the workshop as it is distracting to the other students and the instructor. 701 CCA may not be held responsible for the loss of any personal property.

First Aid: A first aid kit will be on-hand and fully stocked in the workshop room. In case of more serious injuries , instructors will contact a parent or guardian.

If you need to contact us during workshop times, you may call the gallery at 803-779-4571. The gallery phone may also be used in case a child without a phone needs to contact a parent or guardian.
