Flavia Lovatelli

Motivated by everyday trash… Sustainable by design… Flavia Lovatelli gives us her statement:

“In my artistic practice, I primarily utilize recycled paper strips sourced from various materials such as magazines, junk mail, receipts, and everyday paper. My creative inspiration stems from the organic beauty of nature, particularly the vibrant life found in the ocean reef and the rich plant ecosystems of our planet. Given the pressing challenges of global warming, pollution, and rampant consumerism, I have redirected my focus towards raising awareness for our planet and advocating for a more sustainable way of life.

Through my art, I endeavor to recreate small structures reminiscent of marine life, aim-
ing to spark meaningful conversations and encourage a cultural shift towards environ-
mental consciousness. By engaging with my work, I hope to inspire individuals to con-
sider the impact of their actions on our planet and to explore innovative approaches to addressing environmental issues. Ultimately, my goal is to foster a deeper appreciation
for the natural world and to promote a more sustainable and harmonious coexistence
with it.”
