Katelyn Chapman, a Columbia native now based in Charleston, draws inspiration from her familial and rural ties to the South. Her evocative paintings explore working-class life in America’s Bible Belt, blending storytelling, Christian iconography, and symbols of faith with humor and paradox. Through her art, she captures the ephemeral beauty of rural spaces and the enduring customs of the South.
