Join Artist in Residence Sarah Nguyen for a paper cutting workshop!

Location: Artist Residence Loft, Suite 205, (Upstairs), 701 Whaley St., Columbia, SC

This workshop focuses on narrative symbolism and symmetry while emphasizing cutting with a Xacto knife. We begin with an overview of the history of folk paper cutting and then review proper cutting techniques with a Xacto knife with safety emphasized. Working with card stock we work from a template provided by the teacher to explore and practice paper cutting. Emphasis is on exploration and practice and less on final results.
