701 Center for Contemporary Art is excited to announce Shane Fero will be the artist in residence at 701 CCA throughout September. He is a flame worker and glass artist that maintains a studio next to Penland School of Craft in Penland, North Carolina. His glass work can be found in collections both private and public institutions worldwide.

The purpose of his residency is to focus on painting in watercolor and acrylic paintings. Fero will show the direct link between subject matter, color and form with his glass sculptures and mixed media pieces.

Please join us for the Glass Flower Demonstration with Shane Fero. He will provide participants with the opportunity to view how he creates his glass art in person.

We are located at 701 Whaley Street, Columbia, SC 29201. Please go to the Market Space with the garage doors. It is located right next to the parking lot. Overflow parking is available next to Banhi Mi Boys off of Wayne Street.
