Young Artist's Festival
Fifth Annual Young Artists Festival
Presented by the 701 Center for Contemporary Art
The Young Artist's Festival is a three hour gathering of summer art camps in the Columbia area that highlights and introduces the various summer camp programs. Participating camps in all disciplines including music, dance, media, theatre and visual arts offer interactive experiences, exhibitions, performances and collateral materials to highlight their programs. 701 CCA also plans to incorporate STEAM workshops into its summer camp offerings which will be highlighted during the festival. This family friendly event celebrating young artists, ages 6 to 17, will feature performances from local arts organizations, an exhibition of works by 701 CCA summer camp participants, games and crafts stations where children can create new works of art!
701 Whaley Market, 701 Whaley St., Columbia, SC 29201
Saturday, August 11, 2018 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM
The festival is free and open to the public!
We want to invite anyone who is interested in the arts and between the ages of 6 and 17 to join our YAF Junior Committee! This committee will help us plan the festival by being involved in the process to provide insight, ideas and young energy.
The YAF Junior Committee will meet periodically throughout the planning process of the festival, under the guidance of 701 CCA staff. Joining the committee is a great way for young people to get involved in arts, as well as a fun learning opportunity. Help us make sure the festival has everything you would like to see!
If you or someone you know is interested in getting involved, please fill out the form below or contact Hannah Shepard at firstname.lastname@example.org or (803) 319-9949 for more information.
